Supported Employment Questions and Answers

 Dear Supported Employment Program Director

VESID is currently planning its Supported Employment contracts  which will commence July 1, 2006. It is our intention to have contracts in place as quickly as possible so as to permit authorizations to be in place well before the start date of yr.'03 within this 5-year contract cycle.

One piece of the contracts is the ongoing level of Extended services which is funded by VESID for either  "VESID consumers" at the $2,500/yr level or the "OMRDD transfer consumers" at the $3,200/yr level which is specific that group as previously identified jointly by OMRDD and VESID.

The simplest way to verify the current numbers of individuals in each supported employment program is to ask you to complete the attached list and return it to us. I ask that you do so by February 28, 2006, so that we can include this information as the base for next year's contracts.  Please note that you should include identification information for individuals who are currently in your Intensive program for whom you are reasonably certain VESID funding will be required. Please do not include any projections for additional Extended needs for next year as those will be assigned based upon next year's contract goals.

This letter and a down-loadable version of the attached listing are included on the VESID supported employment website. Please return your completed listing to
