CHILD CARE DESCRIPTION The field of child care encompasses early childhood education with employment opportunities available as: teacher, teacher aide, day care worker and nanny. WORKING CONDITIONS Child care workers are employed in schools, day care centers and private homes. Hours may range from full time, (thirty five hours to forty hours per week) or private work that may exceed sixty hours. Part time employment is also available. TRAITS COMMON TO SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS IN THIS FIELD 1. Patient, creative with the ability to nurture, motivate, teach and influence children. 2.
