Topical Listing of Special Education Publications
With the exception of the Procedural Safeguards Notice, Sample Due Process Complaint Form, and Sample Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for preschool and school-age, the New York State special education publications and policy memoranda on this web site have not yet been revised to reflect the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2004 changes. Beginning July 1, 2005, school districts must implement the new requirements of IDEA as found in PL 108-446 and applicable federal regulations. In addition, existing State law and regulations must continue to be implemented to the extent consistent with federal requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: This page contains a listing of all publications related to Special Education available on our web site. Within each topic area (i.e., Alternate Assessment, Alternative Format, etc.), publications are listed chronologically from most recent at the top down to oldest.
