Updated List of Impartial Hearing Officers (IHO)

An update of the Impartial Hearing Reporting system (IHRS) makes it possible for districts to have access to their district specific lists of certified IHOs through the IHRS. The district specific list reflects any changes due to IHOs indicating they will not serve in a specific district. Districts are notified of changes to their lists via email. SED no longer publishes a paper copy of any IHO list.

Parent, advocates, attorney or other interested persons who would like a copy of a school district list may request the list from the district. The district list is public information and is available upon request, School districts should follow the procedure listed below to access and print the list for this purpose from the IHRS and for Board of Education organizational meetings.

School districts should log into the IHRS using the assigned username and password and follow the instructions below. Click here for the link to the NYSED Portal page. (We suggest you save this link under your internet favorites for easy access in the future.)
