During November 2007, our own Tom Wigton was featured as the educator for the week on WGRZ-TV (Channel 2, Buffalo, NY) throughout the western New York viewing area.

"Nourishing the Schools Spirit Award"

On June 21st, 2007, Laraine Caton, Head of the Related Services Department was presented the " Nourishing the Organization's Spirit Award". Suzanne Wheeler presented the awarded, which is given annually to an individual or group of individuals who has enriched the school's spirit, through the activities he or she is involved with, their dedication to the school, and the positive attitude each brings to the NYSSB organization. With an overwhelming vote of recommendation, Laraine was selected by NYSSB staff as the 2007 honoree, due to her vision for innovative programs, her love of the school, and the energy she brings to the campus.
