To help reduce paperwork, a copy of the procedural safeguard notice no longer needs to be given at each IEP meeting and upon reevaluation. It is required to be given only once per year and upon initial referral or parental request for evaluation, upon the first occurrence of filing of a request for an impartial hearing and upon parental request.
The notice may be on the LEA's website.
The content of the notice must include information regarding the opportunity to resolve the complaint, mediation and timelines for resolution.
