Effective Practices
Supporting Successful Strategies To Achieve Improved Results Project (S3TAIR)
is a NYSED project funded by the United States Education Department Office
of Special Education. The goal of the project is to identify effective instructional
practices for students with disabilities in schools throughout New York
State , particularly the areas of literacy, positive academic and behavior
interventions and supports, and special education instruction. The S3TAIR
Project identifies and validates effective practices in schools throughout
the State. A list of these validated practices can be found in VESID's
Clearinghouse of Effective Practices (www.s3tairproject.org)
.
Validated Effective Practice Model schools can apply for mentor grants that
will support partnerships for replication with schools in need of assistance
or intervention because of their performance results for students with disabilities.
