Take I-81/Rt 17 to exit 4S. You will then be on the Brandywine
highway or Rt 7 & 11. Get in the left or center lane ASAP as the right lane exits
after the first traffic light. Continue straight, crossing the railroad yard. Take the
second exit, which will be Susquehanna St. Beware, there is a stop sign at the end of a
very short off-ramp. Go straight at the stop sign, you will be on Susquehanna. At the
second traffic light, turn right on to Exchange St. At the first traffic light, turn left
on Hawley St. At the first right, which will be across from the State Office Building(SOB)
complex, turn right onto the side street and then left into the parking garage. After
parking, cross Hawley and enter the SOB at ground level. The VESID office is on the 7th
floor.
Take Rt-17 to the Elmira exit. It is exit 56 for Church Street. The off ramp
leads you on to Church Street. Continue down Church Street into the downtown area. You
will pass the Elmira Psychiatric Center and St Joseph’s Hospital on the left. After
you pass under the railroad tracks you will cross Main Street. You need to take the next
left on to College Ave. Go two blocks on College and turn left on Water Street. Water
Street is one way and you can park on either side of the street. There is also a small
metered parking lot on the right just across from our building. The VESID office is in the
black glassed building on the left at 244 West Water Street. Enter the building’s
front doors and the VESID office is at the end of the building’s main interior
corridor.
