VESID’s revised
2004
Strategic Plan has been developed based on the mission outlined for
the office and the issues identified as part of our reform efforts in
vocational rehabilitation and special education, as well as feedback from
our customers, stakeholders and staff. The strategic plan is consistent
with and supports the State Education Department’s Strategic Plan.
The revised Strategic Plan includes seven goals and related key
performance indicators and targets. It will provide a focus for VESID’s
activities and will help to guide the allocation of staff and fiscal
resources.
This website contains the New York State IDEA
Part B Annual Performance Report prepared by the New York State Office
of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities.
This report is required under 34 CFR §80.40. The report reflects New York
State's progress toward meeting its Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act (IDEA), Part B goals and includes proposed future activities
for the next reporting period. The preparation of this report includes the
analysis of trend data from VESID's on-going self-assessment and
improvement planning, and general supervision activities.
Since 1996, VESID has
reported the performance of students with disabilities and vocational
rehabilitation outcomes for individuals with disabilities in a Pocketbook
of Goals and Results for Individuals with Disabilities. We have
republished this booklet each year to ensure that you are regularly kept
informed of progress in improving results.
