Whenever the Committee proposes to conduct a meeting to develop or review a student's IEP or to discuss the provision of a free, appropriate public education, parents must receive a written notice. 19
Prior written notice is given to parents of a student with a disability within a reasonable time before the school district proposes to or refuses to start or change the identification, evaluation or educational placement or the provision of a free, appropriate public education for a child. 18
All required CPSE/CSE and/or CSE subcommittee members participate in IEP meeting, including the student and general education teacher, when appropriate. Alternative methods of participation, including individual or conference telephone calls, were made available. 18
The IEP of each student with a disability is reviewed and, if appropriate, revised periodically but not less than annually and shall consider the educational progress and achievement of the student with a disability and the student's ability to participate in instructional programs in general education and in the least restrictive environment. 18
