Participation in English Regents Examination in the Large Five Cities Compared to Their Total Enrollment

The participation rate of students with disabilities, in the large five cities, in the Regents examination in English increased significantly in 2002-03 compared to 1998-99. However, compared to the 42.3 percent of total enrollment of students with disabilities that attended schools in the large five cities, only 28.7 percent of all the Regents examinations in English that were administered to students with disabilities were administered in the large five cities.
