Results for Regents Mathematics examinations for 1999-2002 represent combined results from Sequential Mathematics, Course I and Math A Regents examinations.  The Sequential Mathematics, Course I examination was administered for the last time in 2002.

The above data indicate:

  • There were substantial increases in the numbers of students with disabilities tested on English and Mathematics Regents examinations in both the High Need school districts and Average or Low Need school districts.
  • The percent of students achieving a score of 65-100 on the English Regents examination improved between 1999 and 2003 in both categories of school districts.
  • The percent of students achieving a score of 65-100 on the Mathematics Regents examination in 2003 compared to 1999 declined in the High Need school districts and remained the same in Average or Low Need school districts.
