At 51.8 percent, New York State surpasses the national rate of 48.2 percent for placing school-age students with disabilities in general education programs for 80 percent or more of the school day. More than one of every two school-age students with disabilities (51.8 percent) attended general education programs for 80 percent or more of the school day.
