A greater percentage of students with disabilities who participated in general education programs for 80 percent of the day performed at or above Level 3 on the elementary English language arts and mathematics assessments (30.2 percent and 59.7 percent in 2002-03, respectively) compared to students with disabilities who participated in general education programs for less than 40 percent of the day (6.1 percent and 19.5 percent in 2002-03, respectively).
