Results on the elementary English language arts examination declined for both general education students and students with disabilities in 2002-03 compared to 2001-02. However, results improved significantly in the percentage of general education students and students with disabilities performing at levels 3 and 4 on the elementary mathematics examination (71.9 percent to 82.7 percent and 37.2 percent to 47.8 percent, respectively.
