For the second consecutive year, the percentage of students with disabilities who remain in regular classes for 80 percent or more of the school day exceeded the national rate, which was established as New York State's benchmark. New York State's rate in 2000-01 is 2.2 percentage points higher than the 1999-2000 national average.
