Earnings Ratio of Individuals with Disabilities in Competitive Employment to State's Average Hourly Earnings for all Individuals*

In 2000, individuals with disabilities who achieved competitive employment after receiving vocational rehabilitation services from VESID earned an average of $9.44 per hour compared to New York State's average hourly wage of $21.07 for all individuals.  New York State's earnings ratio of individuals with disabilities average hourly wage to the State's average hourly wage is below the national standard and also below the national average.
