Coordination of New York Statewide Systems Advocacy Network Description - Request for Proposal
Due August 25, 2008 by 3PM - The Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID), New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking proposals for Coordination of the New York Statewide Systems Advocacy Network(SSAN). The intent of this proposal is to select an entity to administer, direct, communicate with and collect data and report on the activities of 19 funded Independent living Center Statewide Systems Advocacy Coordination projects.
The eligible applicants are; For-profit and not-for-profit firms. Subcontracting will not be allowed. NYSED encourages the use of minority/women-owned business enterprises as both prime contractors and subcontractors. Please see the section of this RFP for information regarding NYSED’s Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Policy. The contract resulting from this RFP will be for two years beginning October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2010.
Coordinated Independent Living Center Training, Rapid Response Technical Assistance and Conference Opportunity - Request for Proposal
Due September 3, 2008 by 3PM - The Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID), New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking proposals for the Independent Living Center (ILC) Training, Technical Assistance and Conference Opportunity Project. The intent of this proposal is to establish an annual training program, a timely and responsive technical assistance service and one conference opportunity for Independent Living Centers to enhance board, staff, volunteer and consumer skills. Eligible applicants include organizations with expertise in training, consultation and product development for community based, consumer controlled, not-for-profit organizations. Subcontracting will be limited to twenty-five percent (25%) of the annual contract budget. NYSED encourages the use of minority/women-owned business enterprises as both prime contractors and subcontractors. Please see the section of this RFP for information regarding NYSED’s Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Policy. NYSED will award one (1) contract with a term of two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods. The original two (2) year contract term will be October 1, 2008-September 30, 2010.
Special Education Parent Centers - Request for Proposal
Due August 25, 2008 by 3PM - The Office of Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) of the New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking proposals to establish eleven (11) new Special Education Parent Centers, which, in combination with existing Centers in Long Island and Western NY will result in the operation of thirteen (13) Special Education Parent Centers in New York State (NYS).
The eligible applicants include NYS Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Independent Living Centers (ILCs), Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), not-for-profit service organizations, and private for-profit organizations.
