Dear Model Transition Program Administrators/Coordinators:

Thank you for your efforts on behalf of students with disabilities and the transition process. As part of the MTP initiative, the employment-related services provided to students with disabilities have improved and more students with disabilities are being referred to VESID.

As you enter into the final month of the 2008-09 school year and plan for the future, please be aware carryover of funds from the grant period June 1, 2007 – November 30, 2008 to December 1, 2008 – November 30, 2009 and beyond will not be allowed. If you have questions regarding MTP, please contact Elizabeth Hamel at (518) 473-4818.

In addition, please promptly file all necessary vouchers and reports to facilitate your timely receipt of payment for year one activities. If you have any questions regarding filing of vouchers or claims, please call William Raymer at (518) 486-4706.

Thank you again for ensuring students with disabilities are prepared for college, employment and training programs.
