DRIVING
INSTRUCTIONS:
It is probably easiest to take the subway or bus to the
office. If you do drive, the least expensive place to park is the underground
parking lot under the PATHMARK grocery store in the new Atlantic Center Shopping Mall.
If you are close to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE)
you can take the BQE and get off at the exit which says Civic Center/Tillary Street.
Stay in the LEFT LANE.
Turn LEFT onto Flatbush Avenue, which is a very busy, 6
lane road. Stay in the LEFT LANE and go down about three stop lights.
Turn LEFT onto Fulton Street (there is a big McDonald's on
the corner), and go a couple blocks.
Turn RIGHT onto Ashland Place, and go two blocks (you will
cross Lafayette Street, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music will be on the corner).
You will come to Hanson Place, and you have to turn LEFT.
Go to Ft. Greene Place, turn RIGHT, and you'll take a QUICK
LEFT into the underground Parking Lot for PATHMARK.
The New York State Office Building is at 55 Hanson Place, a
brick building right across the street from the Atlantic Center and down the street from
the Williamsburgh Bank Building, with the landmark clock tower.
