The Marketing Function provides support to Capital District staff,
regional employers and service provider agencies. Working cooperatively with the above
groups, we address barriers in the employment of our consumers while identifying target
markets and potential job opportunities for those we serve.
Both employers and potential job applicants with disabilities will want to explore our
programs and incentives:
"Qualified individuals with disabilities have
proven to be a valuable part of our workforce. They are hard working and dedicated and
special accommodations have been an insignificant issue for us."
Gerry Bilodeau - Glens Falls National Bank and Trust - Glens Falls, NY
"We at Price Chopper feel it makes good business sense to hire
people with disabilities. First, it is frequently a source of talented and educated
people. We find that these folks really appreciate their jobs and are very hard working
and dependable. Finally, if they are not employed and must rely on welfare, we are still
responsible as taxpayers."
Lewis Golub - Golub Corporation - Schenectady, NY
"The ultimate goal in the hiring process is to locate the best person for the job.
Ability is the key factor. In today's economy, employers need to make every effort to
profit from the expertise and talents of individuals with disabilities."
